Trap Bars have been a staple of lifting for a long time. By allowing the load to be more in line with your body, they can reduce stress on the lumbar spine, allowing more drive through the hips and legs whilst maintaining a more vertical lifting stance. The next progression of this is the open trap bar, which still offers all the benefits of a traditional trap bar, but the open side allows them to be used for even more types of lifts including lunges, rows, split squats etc.

If all of that's not enough, these have a set of feet added that effectively acts as a barbell jack. Simply roll the bar onto the feet and it's elevated off the ground and ready to load and unload plates as required. Roll it back and lift away. With two neutral handle options, this could quickly become one of your most-used piece of equipment.
